Mr. Baron Stewart
Baron Stewart currently serves as an active member of the Board of Commissioners at the National Water Commission. He is an astute entrepreneur and businessman who has a wealth of experience in the field of hardware sales and manufacturing. In 1973, as part of his entrepreneurial pursuit, he started Stewart’s Hardware which, under his seamless direction, grew into a chain of five stores. In 1977, he incorporated BOS Blocks & Tiles as a manufacturer of blocks and tiles and later expanded into heavy duty equipment operations and rentals.
Being a true visionary, Mr. Stewart achieved greater vertical and horizontal alignment by venturing into and operating a freight forwarding and custom brokerage company that augments all the other enterprises and provide a key service to businesses from Kingston to Manchester.
Mr. Stewart holds an Associate of Arts Degree from the University of Phoenix and a Certificate in Business Studies from the College of Arts, Science and Technology. He currently serves as Board Chairman Management Committee of the May Pen Hospital.
He is a former Deputy Board Chairman of Treadlight Primary School and has served as Board Chairman of Vere Technical High School during the period 2011 to 2019. Mr. Stewart has also served as Board Member of the Urban Development Corporation during 2007 and 2008.
